E NOHO is a creative agency built on a foundation of whanaungatanga, dedicated to celebrating Aotearoa's creative community through arts engagement, community building and multimedia storytelling.

Guided by Te Ao Māori values, we believe storytelling is a powerful way to strengthen connections, deepen understanding, and uplift our communities.

Originally established as a live-stream music show, E NOHO was created and hosted by artist Ed Waaka in March 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It served as a platform to promote mental wellbeing and nurture a sense of unity during lockdown, reinforcing the importance of connection in challenging times.

Since then, our kaupapa has continued to evolve, but our commitment to whanaungatanga remains at the heart of everything we do. Through our storytelling and creative community building projects, we strive to share authentic and emotionally resonant moments that bring people together, celebrate indigenous perspectives, and leave a lasting impact.

ED WAAKA

Creative Director, Digital Storyteller

Ed Waaka (Te Rarawa, Ngāti Pāhauwera) is an established musician, producer, audio engineer, and digital storyteller, based in Tāmaki Makaurau.

Throughout his career, he has released numerous songs as a singer-songwriter and collaborated with or performed alongside notable artists such as Troy Kingi, Trinity Roots, Mara T.K, MeloDownz, and Louis Baker.

His love of technology, music and art extends into some of Aotearoas most distinguished cultural spaces including The Auckland Art Gallery, The Auckland War Memorial Museum, Aotea Centre, Corbans Estate Art Center, and The Depot Art Space.

He is currently working with organisations including Manaaki Whenua, Te Hiku Media, and Te Pū Oranga Whenua to create and develop stories that advocate for the environment and uphold a Te Ao Māori world view.

TRIXI ROSA

Creative Director, Arts Engagement & Community Development

Trixi Rosa is a community artist and māmā raised in Punakaiki, Te Wai Pounamu. She now lives with her whānau on the West Coast of Tāmaki Makaurau and works on community development and arts engagement projects with various local community organisations.

Trixi's personal art practice weaves ritual and writing into immersive installation, poetry and performance. It navigates questions of identity, place, intimacy and belonging.

She has published, performed and exhibited locally and internationally with the likes of, Takahē (NZ), Hunter Writer Centre (AUS), Genre: Urban Arts (USA), Maternal Journal (USA),Depot Artspace (NZ), Melbourne Writers Festival, The Bowery Poetry Club (NYC), Chopin Theatre (Chicago), and The Wheeler Centre (AUS).

In 2019, Trixi participated in the Emerging Cultural Leaders residency at Footscray Arts (FCAC) and graduated from a Masters of Public Art (Community Arts/Socially Engaged Practice) at RMIT, receiving the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Academic Excellence.
